Water wholesalers are responsible for the water and wastewater network in your area. This includes supplying water, removing and treating wastewater, and maintaining the pipes, treatment works and wider network.
Water retailers manage your account. This normally includes billing, customer service and support with your water and wastewater services.
Your retailer is usually your main point of contact, while your wholesaler looks after the physical network and services.
